The Predator campaign follows a clan of Predators as they seek a rare Xenomorph queen, while the human campaign follows a human marine sent to investigate the planet. The Alien campaign follows the species' attempt to regain control of a human-colonized planet.
The single-player mode of Aliens Versus Predator 2 follows three separate campaigns, one for each race. It is the sequel to Aliens Versus Predator, released in 1999. The game is based on the Alien and Predator franchises and follows a three-way war between the species.
